Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Thawnest, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

Eligibility

You must be 18 years or older to use Thawnest. The protocols, research, and community are calibrated for adults. Thawnest is not designed for, marketed to, or appropriate for minors.

Accounts & Authentication

We use a third-party authentication provider for sign-in via email, Apple, or Google. One account per person. Keep your login credentials safe — you're responsible for activity on your account.

Subscriptions, Billing, and Cancellation

Payments are processed by Stripe. Thawnest Core is $9.99/month or $79/year. Paid subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period until you cancel.

Cancel anytime from Settings → Manage subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period.

Refunds: annual subscriptions are eligible for a pro-rated refund within 30 days of purchase on request. Monthly subscriptions are not pro-rated. Email hi@thawnest.com.

7-Day Free Trial Terms

We offer a 7-day free trial of Core with no credit card required. One trial per account. At the end of the trial, your account automatically reverts to the Free tier — you are never auto-charged. To continue on Core, start a paid subscription before the trial ends.

Acceptable Use

• No harassment, hate speech, or threatening behavior in body-double rooms or anywhere else.
• No recording, screenshotting, or rebroadcasting of other participants in body-double sessions.
• No attempts to identify, contact, or de-anonymize other users.
• Thawnest is not a crisis line or a therapy substitute — don't use it as one.

User Content

Your drafts, rescue notes, journal entries, and body-double task hints belong to you. You grant us a limited license to store, transmit, and process this content only to operate the service for you. You can export and delete all your data anytime from Settings.

Third-Party Services

Thawnest is built on top of a small set of trusted vendors. Each has its own terms and privacy policy:

• Stripe — payment processing
• Daily.co — body-double video rooms
• PostHog — anonymous product analytics
• Supabase — database and authentication
• Lovable AI Gateway (Google Gemini) — rescue generation

DMCA / Copyright

If you believe content on Thawnest infringes your copyright, send a DMCA notice to hi@thawnest.com with the required information (identification of the work, the infringing material, your contact info, a good-faith statement, and a signature). We'll respond promptly.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Thawnest's total liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to the service is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Thawnest harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the service, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. [Operator note: replace with your actual jurisdiction before launch.]

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms over time. For material changes, we'll notify you in-app before they take effect. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.

Termination

You can delete your account anytime from Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where reasonable.

Severability

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
